Women’s health and struggle is not just a medical issue of some individuals, but is central to poverty, inequality and social justice.
The critical issues of women’s rights begin from infancy to old age, including being born female (son preference) and discrimination; poverty; unequal access to education, food, paid work and health care; and various forms of violence.

Issues like mental health disorders are often neglected a9ttnd disproportionately prevalent among women than men.
Failures of government, corruption, and global inequalities worsen the condition. However, activist groups/individuals and organizations are resisting these injustices and creating change.

Using human rights frame work → raises the seriousness of woemns’ isseus and pushes govenrments/UN to act.
It is valid to frame women’s needs as rights, instead of charity.
